The Identity
Every great endeavour that one undertakes should have a purpose greater than self. So it goes without saying that every visual design should have a meaning beyond mere aesthetics.
The GOY badge
The round overall shape represents continuity. The green and gold represents the national colours of Australia, with the Southern Cross on the left half. The Chinese character of 心 means 'Heart', and is symbolic of two things: Firstly, it represents the unity of heart between the East and the West. More importantly, it represents the submission of the human heart to the loving grace of God, thereby empowering GOY to fulfill its humanity focused mission. Last but not least, the cross on the upper right corner is a reminder of the finished work of Jesus Christ in providing the ultimate gift of eternal salvation to humanity through His sacrifice.
The GOY badge and company motto 'Let Your Heart Drive' are registered trademarks of Goy Motor Company since 2006.
The Aeroturbine Grille
A vehicle's front grille is a distinct visual cue, and therefore could be used as an important design identity. Early on in the development of Goy Motor Company, our automotive designers brainstormed the idea of a unique grille to be used on future GOY vehicles.
The Aeroturbine Grille (ATG) was one of the more unique proposals that fulfilled all three criteria of form, function and meaning:
- Form-wise, it was prominent and unique as an automobile grille
- Function-wise, it was designed to hide the mechanism used to draw air into the vehicle, much like an aircraft turbine.
- Meaning-wise, its cross-shaped and five-quadrant design is consistent with GOY's philosophical and faith foundation.

The ATG was admittedly an 'acquired taste'. In the beginning when company director David Goy first proposed the ATG, it was not very popular among the designers; there were a number of complains about the grille, one being that it was too "busy" and therefore hard to integrate.
Ironically, as time went by, many of these designers who finally made the ATG work were great proponents of the grille, and would not abandon it even when asked to try different proposals!
One of the best application of the round ATG was on the critically acclaimed GOY GT by Choo C.
Both round and oval Aeroturbine grilles are trademarks of Goy Motor Company.
